First of all...sorry it has taken us so long to post pictures and details of our little girls big day- we've been a little busy! :)
It all started Tuesday, Feb 16th, @ 11pm- Jake and I were laying in bed watching the Olympics and getting ready for bed. I had this sudden and sharp pain that was so intense I had no idea what was happening...and then less than 10 minutes later another one...oh no...contractions! Because they were so intense and already so close together, Jake and I knew it was time! We started timing the contractions and by 1am they were about 4-6 minutes apart and so strong. We called my Dr and he said I had to wait until they were 3 min apart before going to the hospital...AHHH!!! By this point, I was SO tired from not sleeping and the contractions, in SO much pain, and getting SO scared knowing it was only a matter of time. Luckily, from 1-2am my contractions were exactly 3 min apart and we headed to the hospital. By 2:30am we were in a room and I had my blessed epidural by about 3:30am. At about 5:10, I was ready to push and our little girl was born @ 6:08am. I was so blessed to have a quick delivery and no complications. As soon as she was born they took her and cleaned her up and weighed and measured her. They didn't give her to me for about 15 minutes while the Dr. was stitching me up (sorry TMI). Jake and I immediately just hugged each other and cried for about 5 minutes and then he went over to where she was and was telling me all the info.

I can't even describe the feelings that were felt at that moment. I still can't think about it without crying. I have never felt closer to Jake. He had been my strength the entire time. I had a few breakdowns during labor, feeling I couldn't keep going and that I wasn't strong enough to do it and he was so encouraging and so strong and so positive the whole time. He was amazing!
